I've had four Clear & Brilliant treatments in total—two in 2019 and two in 2023.
What is Clear & Brilliant?
Clear & Brilliant is a non-ablative fractional laser treatment designed to improve skin texture, tone, and radiance by creating microscopic treatment zones in the skin's upper layers. Unlike microneedling, this laser method is less invasive, which means you can typically return to your routine the next day with minimal redness—one reason I don’t have any post-treatment photos to share.
How it works
Each session begins with a numbing period of 30 to 45 minutes. Though this helps, the treatment itself can still be fairly painful. The cost is around $550 for the laser treatment alone, while pairing it with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) brings the total to $1,050.
Studies on Clear & Brilliant
Research on Clear & Brilliant indicates it can improve skin smoothness, reduce fine lines, and minimize pore size, making it effective in addressing early signs of aging. Although many studies report promising outcomes, it’s challenging to find details on the study duration and sample size, which makes me cautious about the claims.
My Personal Experience
For the latest treatments, I included PRP, where a technician extracts and applies your plasma throughout the session. PRP can also be injected to boost collagen and elastin production. Nothing says “I care about my skin” quite like a good blood facial!
Despite the price ($550–$1,050), I didn’t notice a dramatic improvement. I'm exploring all options, but honestly, few standalone treatments feel entirely worth the cost.
