weight management

I’ve never been the “thin” woman. Most of my family members struggle with weight issues, and several live with diabetes. For as long as I can remember, I’ve struggled with fluctuations of up to 40 pounds, never quite settling into a weight that felt just right.

Being a woman isn’t easy. We’re too big, too small, arms too flabby, hips too wide, ass too flat. It's exhausting. The constant comparison to societal standards only adds to the pressure; at what point do we stop obsessing over every little detail?

Just when I thought I might have it all figured out, life threw in perimenopause. Suddenly, my body is shifting in ways I didn’t expect, and menopause is knocking on the door.

Growing up, all I ever heard from the women in my family were jokes about night sweats and the inevitable crankiness that seemed to hit around 50.

But here’s the thing—friends don’t gatekeep. I’m now leaning into science to help me navigate these changes. If you’re in the same boat, let’s face this journey together. It’s time to take control of our health, embrace the changes, and make this transition as smooth as we can. While educating and opening discussing it with our families and friends.

So, follow along, and maybe join me as we tackle the challenge of evolving hormones and changing bodies.
