My Treatment Overview

I’ve had two Halo treatment, which cost $1,750, with the addition of BroadBand Light (BBL) for an extra $250.

How It Works

Halo and BroadBand Light (BBL) are non-invasive laser treatments that can greatly rejuvenate the skin, improving its texture and tone.

What is Halo?

Halo combines both ablative and non-ablative lasers to remove the skin's outermost layer while stimulating collagen production in deeper layers. This dual action helps to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, and sun damage. It’s especially helpful for thinning skin—a common concern with age. One of the best aspects of Halo is that collagen continues to build for up to six months after the procedure, providing ongoing improvement.

The Role of BBL

BBL uses light to stimulate collagen and elastin production, further improving texture and addressing sun damage. Together, Halo and BBL form a powerful combination to target multiple skin concerns.

My Experience

The procedure itself was somewhat uncomfortable, but the numbing cream applied 30 minutes beforehand helped make it manageable. My skin was swollen and felt like sandpaper for the next two days, which was unexpected.

To my surprise, the treatment revealed more sun damage than I realized I had. As shown in the photos taken throughout the week, brown spots surfaced and then flaked off. Halo and BBL work at just the right depth to address accumulated sun damage effectively.

I had the treatment done on a Thursday, allowing me to stay home over the weekend as my skin healed. I was red, swollen, and a bit tired, but seeing the results emerge was exciting and made the investment feel worthwhile. After a week, my skin looked fresh, dewy, and had a beautiful glow.

If you’re considering it and have room in your budget, I highly recommend the Halo and BBL combination. The following year, I opted for another Halo treatment but skipped the BBL—not sure why, but I still achieved similar results with Halo alone.
