vitamin c

It’s one of the best things you can do for your skin.

Vitamin C is undoubtedly one of the two holy grail products in skincare. Backed by science and dermatologist-approved, numerous studies indicate its potential to slow early skin aging, prevent sun damage, and enhance the appearance of wrinkles, dark spots, and acne.

As an antioxidant, Vitamin C combats harmful free radicals—toxins that enter the skin from external sources like air pollution and are also produced internally through normal metabolic processes.

While many recognize SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic for its independent research, the $182 price tag for just 1 oz is steep. I've tried it along with several other formulations, but haven’t yet found a favorite. Perhaps I’ll create a separate section to discuss the Vitamin C products I’ve experimented with.

When selecting a Vitamin C product, always look for one that clearly states its Vitamin C concentration. In the past, I've contacted multiple brands and discovered some formulas contain as little as 1% Vitamin C. Aim for products that offer a concentration between 15-20%, depending on your skin's tolerance.

Currently, I’m using Isntree Hyper Vitamin C 23 Serum. At 23% Vitamin C, it’s potent, so be cautious to avoid burning your skin. I also really like Timeless 20% vitamin C ferulic acid. Timeless comes in an airtight pump that makes it last longer.
