Since we all need more muscle, why not give it a shot? It has been shown to help preserve muscle mass in healthy older adults. Although numerous studies exist, most are short and primarily conducted on men. The longest I found was a 12-week study involving 42 men. While this is discouraging, I recognize that many studies tend to be short and male-dominated.

HMB is quite pricey and has an unpleasant taste, so I mix it with water and down it quickly. I’m unsure if I will continue with this product long-term due to cost and taste.
