NMNH 250mg
My plastic surgeon recommended NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide) for its potential benefits in boosting energy levels and promoting overall health. NMN is a naturally occurring molecule that serves as a precursor to NAD+, a crucial coenzyme that supports various cellular functions. A coenzyme binds to an enzyme at its active site, helping catalyze chemical reactions by carrying electrons or functional groups.
Recently, NMNH (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide Hydrogen), a reduced form of NMN, has gained attention. It’s believed to be more effective at increasing NADH, the active form of NAD+ involved in numerous energy-related processes within cells. NMNH may offer enhanced bioavailability and faster results, but it’s a newer compound with less research than NMN.
By middle age, our NAD+ levels drop to roughly half of what they were in youth. Studies, mostly conducted on mice, suggest that boosting NAD+ levels may improve insulin sensitivity, reverse mitochondrial dysfunction, and potentially extend lifespan. While both NMN and NMNH are available over-the-counter, NAD+ itself must be administered intravenously by a medical professional.
Despite the limited research on NMNH, I'm willing to try it, even though it's still unclear how effective it truly is.
